31"
Fort Knox
Taylor had a hand in every aspect of the design of his signature
model, from the template shape and specs to the graphics. Everything is
designed to work with Taylor's style of power surfing, from the wide
tail to the slightly stretched wheelbase, which provides a bit more
stability at speed. This is the board he cross trains on for strength
and flow, carving it up and down the hills in front of his house like
he's ripping at J-Bay.
33" Matt Hoy
Inspired by a true original, this pro-model board was designed in
tandem with Australian surfer and Carver team rider Matt Hoy, from the
tattoo-based graphic concept inspired by the style of his own skin art,
to the deck shape of his favorite contest-winning surfboard. Matt's
style combined with Carver's performance makes this surfskate as
visually distinctive as it is high-performance. The mid length is just
right for an easy pump on the flats, but with a little more wheelbase
you get better control and stability through the faster sections, making
this model a versatile blend of speed control and fast handling.
35" Diamond
nspired by the 1970s and the progression that era created for surfing
and skating, the 35" Diamond features metal-flake base colors with
yellow striping, recalling the glitter paint used on hot rods and
motorcycle helmets. In keeping with the era, we based the template of
this model on a vintage single fin diamond-tail surfboard. We're using
our favorite mold style, the Spoon Nose, because it's the best
combination of mellow concave, tail kick and spoon nose that works
perfectly with the surfskating style. The mid-length is just a little
shorter than the more common 36+ boards, giving this easy cruiser a
tighter turning radius and slightly easier pump.
28" Teardrop
This mini Thumbtail is our smallest board, ideal for surfers looking for
the equivalent to their potato chip thrusters. The short wheelbase lets
you drive the board for speed easily and quickly, turning any curb cut
or driveway bank into your next favorite wave. The narrow trucks and
mini template perfectly scale this board down so it's light and snappy.
35" Bitmap
The 35" Bitmap is the latest in the longest running line of models
Carver has produced. We first made this board while developing our
innovative C7 truck because we needed a longer wheelbase skateboard to
test our trucks on the hills and alleys around Venice. It became a
favorite, influencing the performance of the trucks themselves and
setting an early standard for progressive longboards. This latest
version features a straight-railed continuous mellow concave from pocket
to pocket for a tight, springy flex, and the stretched out double-kicks
gives you a wider, locked-in stance to make this model one of the most
versatile boards in our line-up, a super hybrid board good for
everything from urban downhill carving, flatland pumping, skatepark
surfing and more
36" Lola
One of our most popular longboard sizes, the 36" Lola is the versatile
street surfer that can all about this board is focused on surf
performance. The medium length wheelbase is short enough to pump for
speed on the flats, and long enough to get you down the biggest hills in
town with full control. The pin-tail kick gives this cruiser a
performance edge, with its back foot wedge for pumping from the tail or
popping over cracks, and the forward-set front truck placement for a
little added stability at faster carving speeds.
30" Rocket
Brand new for 2010, the composite Fiberskin deck of the 30" Rocket is
especially fast and tight turning because the pre-cured ceramic fiber
outer skins over the 5-ply maple core return energy to every pump. The
wider tail is stiff enough to be fully functional for riding off the
tail and ollies. The shorter wheelbase, in combination with the narrow
trucks, allows for steeper rail angles, so you can really dig into your
turns and thrust for speed on the tightest terrain. This is a very
versatile little snapper that can tear up a small flat driveway with
continuous pumping as easily as speed down a set of downhill banks or
flow through a park.
The Fiberskin outer laminations over the 5
ply maple core of the 30" Rocket gives this surfskate a lively rebound
with every pump so you gain speed more quickly.
37" Great Wave
This model is a classic funboard, long enough to cruise with ease but
short enough to carve and pump the smaller sections. The longer
wheelbase creates the stability necessary to carve down steep
neighborhood hills and comfortable enough to glide to the corner store.
The traditional tail kick upgrades this surfy cruiser into a real
performance board for when you need to plant your foot over the fins and
take control.
